Meta and Microsoft have officially launched the new Quest 3S Xbox Edition , a special edition VR headset that’s priced at $399.99. It’s a customized version of the Quest 3S , featuring a carbon-black color scheme with green accents, in true Xbox style.
Also included in the box is an Xbox Wireless Controller, matching Touch Plus controllers, and a three-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate , valid for both new and existing members.

Meta has adapted the headset’s interface to reflect the distinctive colors of this edition, making the user experience more cohesive and thematic. The headset launches directly into the Xbox app and, thanks to Game Pass Ultimate , allows you to stream your game through Xbox Cloud Gaming .
There are two visual modes: a fully immersive one with a 26-foot virtual screen and an augmented reality one, where the game seems to “float” in the real environment.
Despite some compression and resolution limitations typical of cloud gaming, such as occasionally pixelated images in titles like Forza Horizon 5 , the overall experience was smooth and free of noticeable lag.
On the aesthetic side, the headset features a thin green band on the front and a small Xbox logo, which matches perfectly with the design of the controller.
Microsoft has never released a true Xbox-branded VR headset, but this device is the closest it’s come to delivering that experience, focusing entirely on game streaming rather than dedicated hardware.
The Quest 3S Xbox Edition is available in limited quantities in the US and UK, sold through the official Meta store and select retailers including Best Buy, Argos, and EE. Microsoft also noted that once stocks are sold out, there will be no further restocks.
