A new update has been released for NXMilk , the audio player for the Switch console developed by the developer proconsule , author of the more famous video player NXMP .

The program uses FFMpeg for audio decoding and projectM for visualization. Its graphical interface is implemented with ImGui.

This new version introduces support for network file playback via SSH, SMB and NFS protocols, as well as compatibility with CUE/BIN images, including mixed-mode ones containing both audio and data tracks.

Additionally, you can now also play CD/DVD images in ISO9660 format and directly access audio files compressed inside RAR, ZIP and TAR.GZ archives, with fast memory searching for files smaller than 100 MB.

Also introduced is file playback via argv parameters , useful for file association via Sphaira, and a new feature for managing the screen backlight, allowing you to turn it off during playback to reduce power consumption.

Finally, the milk module’s built-in graphic presets have been updated , improving the visual experience while listening.

Installation

Download and copy the file NXMilk.nroto a subfolder, such as /switch/NXMilk/.
(Optional) Copy the milk files to /switch/NXMilk/presets/milk/.
(Optional) Copy the texture files to /switch/NXMilk/presets/Textures/.

Edit the configuration file NXMilk.inias needed.
