A new update has been released for PS4-HEN-VTX , the open-source project dedicated to jailbroken PlayStation 4 consoles , developed by EchoStretch as a fork of the original SiSTR0 repository .

PS4-HEN-VTX provides aHomebrew Enabler (HEN), which is a kernel exploit that allows the execution of unsigned code, such as homebrew applications, and access to advanced features normally blocked by the console’s operating system.

The latest version of the project does not introduce any new features or changes to the exploit code, but simply updates the README file in the repository.

In particular, the update serves to officially clarify the support offered by PS4-HEN-VTX for firmware versions between 5.05 and 12.02.

Prerequisites

Compatible PS4 console : A PS4 (Fat, Slim, or Pro) with firmware between 5.05 and 12.02. Check your firmware version in Settings > System > System Information.
Kernel exploit : A compatible exploit is required, such as PPPwn (for firmwares 9.00–12.02) or similar exploits for older versions (e.g. 5.05–9.00). PPPwn is often used for newer firmwares.
