However, not everyone has been so lucky. One particular case has caught the attention of the community: a user named AJ , active on the GBAtemp Discord server , posted a photo showing his new Switch 2 unable to launch any games.
Instead of the usual title menu, the console exposes an interface reserved for quality control tests performed in the factory. The files present, in JSON format, refer to technical tests such as the aging cycle of the device, the battery charge check, the system restart and shutdown.
This curious flaw, while interesting to reverse engineering and hardware enthusiasts, left AJ with a completely unusable console.
Another user, struck by the rarity of the case, decided to purchase the defective unit from AJ with the intention of further documenting the situation. Publicly thanking him for his availability and for the sale, he wished him to receive a new fully functional console soon.
