A new update has been released for SwanGBA , the emulator of the WonderSwan console developed by developer Fredrik Ahlström for the Game Boy Advance .

Users can change aspects such as the screen’s gamma and contrast, change button mapping, or enable autofire.
You can also adjust the speed of the games, choosing between modes ranging from 50% to 400% of the normal speed.
Another advanced option is overclocking the EWRAM memory, which can improve performance but carries the risk of damaging the Game Boy Advance.
Despite its versatility, the emulator has some limitations. Some games suffer from speed or graphical issues. For example, Mahjong Touryuumon is too fast, while Chou Denki Card Game requires manual NVRAM initialization.
Other titles, such as Final Fantasy and One Piece , feature minor visual glitches, such as sprites appearing at the wrong times or incorrect colors in the background.
The update introduces several fixes and optimizations, including a fix for audio output control (register 0x91), a fix for latched icon handling (register 0x1A), and improvements in the handling of LCD sleep mode and shutdown operations.
Additionally, issues with the handling of the Trap flag in EI , the stack segment register , and the RTC AM/PM behavior have been fixed . Finally, audio rendering has been optimized to improve sound quality.
