A new update has been released for minute , a tool that acts as both a boot1 replacement for Wii U and a backup and restore tool.

The program is comparable to BootMii for Wii consoles and offers advanced features such as IOSU patching and booting, creating and restoring backups, configuring redNAND and much more.

However, minute  only operates in 1080p resolution on the TV screen and requires navigation via the “POWER” button and confirmation with “EJECT”.

Autobooting can be configured in the file minute.ini, allowing a specific menu option to be automatically booted, you can also set a timeout for autoloading.

If an IOSU reboot is detected, minute  will restore the last option started, unless this feature is disabled.

redNAND allows you to replace one or more of the Wii U ‘s internal storage devices (SLCCMPT, SLC, MLC) with partitions on the SD card.

Configuration is done via minute_minute , while implementation is handled by Stroopwafel . SLC and SLCCMPT partitions are free of ECC/HMAC data.

To prepare an SD card, you can use the Format redNAND option or manually proceed with specific partitioning, following precise dimensions and configurations.

SCFM , an SLC-based MLC cache system, ensures data consistency between the two drives. Disabling SCFM is possible for MLC-only redirection, but requires precautions to avoid system damage.

You can configure SCFM via the file rednand.ini, disabling encryption or allowing the MLC system to be used as a USB device.

OTP and SEEPROM can be redirected using specific files ( redotp.binand redseeprom.bin) on the SD card. However, changes made to the SEEPROM will not be saved and will be lost upon reboot.

minute is configured via specific files, such as , to determine which redNANDrednand.ini partitions to use and to customize SCFM options .

Additionally, you can disable redNAND partition encryption to manage data between sysNAND and redNAND securely. However, incorrect or advanced configurations can cause irreparable damage to system memory, which is why extreme caution is needed.

With this update, the software introduces a significant improvement by automatically applying GPU overclocking at autoboot , thus optimizing the console’s performance from the moment it is turned on.
