New August update for Xbox Series X/S and
Xbox One that introduces new features based on user suggestions and feedback.
The update introduces the new Discord call and streaming features that Microsoft has tested with Insider users in recent weeks. The news also concern cloud gaming, consoles, PC gaming and accessory customization.

What’s new for Xbox Cloud Gaming
The update extends the availability of the Xbox app on Fire TV, which now supports Fire TV Stick (1st generation) and Fire TV Cube (2nd generation).
In partnership with Amazon, Xbox allows Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers in more than 25 countries to play titles directly over the cloud on compatible Fire TV devices.
Users can download the app from the Amazon store, log in with their Microsoft account, and if you already subscribe to Game Pass Ultimate, start playing immediately.
Simply connect a compatible Bluetooth controller, such as the Xbox Wireless Controller or the PlayStation DualSense, to immerse yourself in the vast cloud game catalog.
Updates for Xbox Consoles
One of the main innovations concerns integration with Discord. Users can now easily find Discord friends and their channels directly from the Xbox console.
With Xbox and Discord accounts linked, you can view Discord friends who are playing, chatting or streaming, in the “Happening Now” section of the Xbox guide.
This feature allows you to join voice chat or stream directly from your Xbox console, eliminating the need to use the Discord app on PC or mobile.
Plus, you can now watch anyone who’s broadcasting directly to Discord from their Xbox console, offering an easy way to share epic gameplay with friends.
PC and Console Gaming: Custom Installations
Xbox introduce anche una nuova funzionalità che permette ai giocatori di scegliere quali parti di un gioco installare sul proprio PC o sulla console.

La funzione “toggle hold”, disponibile per il controller Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 e Xbox Adaptive Controller, permette di mantenere un pulsante premuto con una sola pressione, un’innovazione pensata per migliorare l’accessibilità.
Inoltre, è stata introdotta una scorciatoia per spegnere rapidamente i dispositivi tramite l’app Accessori Xbox, migliorando l’usabilità e la praticità per i giocatori.
