A new update has been released for Stroopwafel , a collection of patches for IOSU , the Wii U console’s operating system originally developed by developer Shinyquagsire23 .
The plugin system, designed to be as flexible as possible, allows users to add new features and perform advanced modifications in IOSU .
With this new release, support for “trampolines” has been introduced from the NET module, a feature that allows you to dynamically redirect system calls or modify the behavior of internal routines.
Trampolines allow you to “jump” from one point in the original code to another location, where custom code can be executed, and then return to the original flow.
In Stroopwafel , NET springboards allow you to hook into specific functions of the NET module (which handles the Wii U ‘s networking functionality ) to modify its behavior or add new functionality without permanently altering the IOSU code.
