[Switch Scene] DBI v777 Released (Russian Version Only)

Developer rashevskyv   has released a series of updates for DBI , the program allows us to properly manage NSP, NSZ, XCI and XCZ files on the Switch console.

The tool also acts as an installer as it supports installation via MTP, USB (with DBI backend script or dbi-nsw tool), http (from own server), from external USB devices and more.

MTP mode allows users to connect their Switch console to their PC, so that the desired files can be “copied” to the virtual MTP device, waiting to be installed.

The updates introduced several  improvements and fixes. Among the issues addressed was an attempt to resolve the “Cannot read from URL” error, an annoying message that users could encounter when installing content from the network.

To do this, support for a custom UserAgent has been implemented, which should improve compatibility with remote servers, and the error information has been enhanced, going beyond the generic “Cannot read from URL” to provide more useful details for diagnosis.

Additionally, a critical bug related to the installation of updates containing delta fragments has been fixed, ensuring greater stability in the process.

Added a handy one-click shortcut to access the hbmenu, making the user experience smoother. On the technical side, the SideBand in applet mode has been expanded from 2 to 4 in BSDInit, increasing the RAM available for sockets and improving network performance.

Also fixed a specific issue with installing mods when only IPS patches were present, ensuring the process works correctly in these cases.

Among the new features and improvements, the file folder.jpgis now hidden by default for a cleaner interface display, while the size of the preview of this file has been increased for better readability.

A significant addition is support for the new .mspmod format, which makes it much easier to use mods on the Switch.

Developed by Andrey Komarovskikh (aka duckbill ), the format .mspis designed to make installing mods as easy as installing games, supporting romfs, exefs, and IPS patches.

To use mods in this format, users can either build them with the msp_builder script or manually replicate the script’s logic to create .msp.
