A new update has been released for ShaderGlass , the tool developed by developer mausimus that allows us to apply GPU shaders to any window on the Windows desktop.
This tool is especially useful for gaming, pixel art and video , offering an advanced overlay that can enhance the visual appearance of emulators, retro platforms and even modern applications like YouTube, Twitch and recent games .
ShaderGlass includes a large library of shaders from RetroArch , allowing you to simulate CRTs, sharpen images, apply upscaling effects, reduce noise and add TV/VHS effects.
The program is compatible with emulators and retro software such as DOSBox, FS-UAE, Altirra, ScummVM, AGS, VICE and Aseprite , making it particularly useful for pixel art drawing , as it allows you to view a preview with aspect ratio correction and active shading.
The update introduces a fix for an issue with importing presets with nested paths, thanks to the contribution of CyberLab, and optimizes the use of precompiled shaders to speed up import, especially in MBZ derivatives.
