A first update has been released for the PS5 BDJB Modified ISO image , specifically designed for firmware versions 6.xx and 7.xx of the PlayStation 5 console .

The update brings a number of fixes, the integration of an updated version of etaHEN and, most importantly, the definitive resolution of the crash problem caused by etaHEN within BDJB, thanks to the brilliant technical intervention of BenNox_XD .

This ISO, based on an older version created by Driverick , does not work offline and requires an active internet connection to operate.

PS5 BDJB Modified ISO presents a simplified approach to jailbreaking the PS5, thanks to a series of automated payload sequences called “pipelines”, making the process quicker and more intuitive, eliminating the need to manually activate each payload.

The ISO image includes eight distinct pipelines, divided into three categories: All-In-One , Jailbreak-ONLY , and NO-etaHEN .

The All-In-One pipelines are the most complete, running a full set of payloads that includes UMTX (a jailbreak exploit), ELF loader , FTP server , web server , and etaHEN (which includes kstuff , a kernel-level component).

Jailbreak-ONLY pipelines are lighter, focused on the essentials, UMTX , ELF loader and etaHEN , for those who want a quick and minimal setup.

The NO-etaHEN pipelines bypass etaHEN to avoid potential system crashes caused by kstuff , although these are now largely obsolete thanks to a crucial fix by BenNox_XD , which resolved etaHEN -related crashes in the BDJB environment.

Each pipeline comes in two distinct flavors: umtx1 and umtx2 . The umtx1 version is recommended for its stability, while umtx2 offers faster execution at the expense of a higher risk of kernel panics (kp), which can cause the system to crash.

PS5 BDJB Modified ISO also offers four loading options: pipeline loader , jar loader , USB ELF loader , and remote jar loader , giving users flexibility in how they deploy payloads.

The included jar files cover key components such as umtx1.jar, umtx2.jar, elfloader.jar, a modified (thanks to BenNox_XDetahen.jar ‘s fix ), , and (although a spoofer is already built into etaHEN , making this optional for testing).websrv.jarftpsrv.jarspoofer_fortesting.jar

One important aspect is that the previous warnings about closing the disk drive after receiving multiple etaHEN notifications , to prevent kstuff from causing a system crash, are no longer relevant, thanks to the fix by BenNox_XD .

This solution made NO-etaHEN pipelines and alternative methods (such as loading etaHEN via a web server app) unnecessary, although they remain available for testing purposes.
