A new update has been released for PlayStation 5 Save Mounter , the tool, developed by developer n0llptr , allows us to mount, read and modify game saves on Windows PC.

Compatible with several PS5 firmware versions, including 3.20, 4.03, 5.02, 6.02, and 7.40, the program also attempts to adapt to other versions with the same major numbering, although it does not guarantee stable operation in every case.

For newer firmwares such as 8.20, 9.40, 9.60 and 10.01, a port of the ps5debug module is required , which makes the installation more complex and suitable for expert users.

Currently, the tool is limited to managing PS4 game saves, while support for native PS5 saves has not yet been implemented.

This update adds support for firmware versions 5.50 and 7.20, further expanding the instrument’s compatibility.

Guide

Preparation

Load ps5debug on your console.
Load an FTP client to access the console files.
Run the PlayStation 5 Save Mounter tool.
Enter the IP address of your PS5 and click “Connect” .
Click on “Patch” .
Click on “Setup” and select your username.
Click “Get Games” and select the game from the drop-down menu.
Click on “Search” .
Select the save you want to mount from the drop-down menu.
Click on “Mount” .

The save will now be mounted and accessible via FTP at the path /mnt/pfs/or /mnt/sandbox/{titolo}/savedataX(they are the same thing, just in different directories).

After copying or replacing files, be sure to click “Unmount .” Click “Unpatch” before launching a game or disconnecting your PS5 to properly remove any applied patches.

Note: Patches are now automatically removed when you close the program or log out .

Warning: Do not replace the files in the directory sce_sys, it is unnecessary and may damage the save .

Saves with prefix`sce_`

Some games use a different save format, with the prefix sce_. These files are located in /user/home/{userid}/savedata/{titleid}and do not appear in the tool’s search results.

Alternative solution

Go to /user/home/{userid}/savedata/{titleid}.
Make a copy of the files sce_, which include:
- One file .bin(96 KB).
- A sdimg.
Rename files:
- sce_sdmemory.bin-> temp.bin.
- sdimg_sce_sdmemory-> sdimg_temp.
Go to /system_data/savedata/{userid}/db/userand download the file database.db.
Open the file with an SQLite editor.
Add a new record to the table savedataand fill in the necessary fields.
Replace the original database with the modified one.
Return to the tool and click “Search” again : a new temporary entry should appear in the drop-down menu.
Proceed as usual to mount the rescue.

File Recovery`sce_`

Return to /user/home/{userid}/savedata/{titleid}.
Delete the original files sce_sdmemory.binand sdimg_sce_sdmemory.
Rename:
- temp.bin-> sce_sdmemory.bin.
- sdimg_temp-> sdimg_sce_sdmemory.
Replace the modified database with the original one.
