Developer LightningMods has officially released version 2.1b of etaHEN , the All-In-One payload for jailbroken PlayStation 5 consoles.

The new version adds the ability to pause and resume kstuff in the Toolbox (Utilities) section, and also introduces updated support for PS5 firmware version 7.xx.

A significant improvement is the stability during automatic loading of the Toolbox , which thanks to a new loading method should be 20 times more stable, while maintaining a fallback to the old method in case kstuff or byepervisor are not available.

Among the fixes included are several optimizations, such as fixing an issue that caused unnecessary changes in *kit target ids (which caused devkits to go into release mode) and fixing a bug that caused klog to automatically start even when disabled in the settings.

Additionally, the process of creating unnecessary files when starting etaHEN has been removed , thus slightly reducing boot times.

New tools have also been added, such as the option to reload the cheat cache and auto-insertion of new cheats into the cache files, as well as an update to PS5Debug from GHEN, which also restored support for 5.xx firmwares.

The new version also includes a check to prevent operations such as downloading the Store or reloading the cheat cache from being started multiple times at the same time.

Another advanced feature is the option that allows experienced users to load etaHEN without kstuff, simply disabling it by placing a file called “no_kstuff” in the root of the USB or in /data/etaHEN/.

Finally, the PKG Installer patches for firmwares 2.xx and 3.xx-4.xx have been reinstated, further expanding payload compatibility and functionality.

DPI API Details for Tool Makers

etaHEN’s Direct PKG Installer (DPI) is currently very simple and is considered a work-in-progress (WIP). The service’s operation flow is as follows:

Connect to the etaHEN TCP server via port 9090 (using your PS5’s IP address).
Send a URL to etaHEN in the following JSON format:{ "url" : "http://xxxx" }
etaHEN will return a response value (0 on success):{ "res" : "0" }
After sending the response JSON, etaHEN will close the client socket.
