A new update has been released for the PS4 version of Apollo Save Tool , the tool, developed by Damián Parrino , allows us to download, unlock, patch and resign save files on PlayStation 4 consoles without any ShellCore patch.

One of the most notable new features is the integration of FTP server support, which allows users to automatically back up their saves to the cloud, as well as conveniently upload and restore them from a user-defined server.

Additionally, you can now back up PS1, PS2, and PS4 saves, with bulk management support for encrypted saves via USB as well.

The option to copy saves to the HDD has been improved, as has the settings menu, which now includes the ability to configure the FTP server URL and select the source of the saves to download, between FTP server and online database.

Exporting to .zip format has also been improved with more efficient file name generation.

New cheat codes have been added for games such as Lunar 1 Remastered , Lunar 2 Remastered , Metaphor: ReFantazio , and Resident Evil 7: Biohazard , as well as support for custom checksums in the same titles.

The app.db database rebuilding process has been fixed to work properly on firmware 11.00 and above.

On the technical side, the update includes updated libraries (such as mbedTLS v2.16.12), a new version of the Apollo Patch Engine (v1.3.0), the addition of the djb2 hash function, and support for tags in files .savepatchto customize saves.

Additionally, support for SaveWizard and BSD codes with multiple options has been introduced, and the save data mounting process has been improved.

Usage

Using Apollo Save Tool PS4 is simple and straightforward:

Press and to select the save file you want to patch and press the button . The Patches screen will show the available fixes for the file. Select the patches and click Apply.
To view the item details, press . The context menu will open on the screen. Press the button to return to the list.
To reload the list, press .
Press the activation buttons and or and to move pages up or down.

Online database

The app also provides direct access to Apollo’s online database to download PlayStation 4 game save files. These usually offer additional features such as completed games that can save you many hours of gaming.

Currently, the list of available games and files is limited, but the project aims to add more community-shared saves.

Note: Downloaded save files must be re-signed using the Apollo Save Tool before loading them into games.
