Sony has released a new firmware update for
PlayStation 4 console, version 12.00, which includes improvements in messaging and usability, as well as new security fixes to counter hacking attempts.
This update represents an additional hurdle for the modding community, which could face difficulties in creating new exploits, it is important to note that users who jailbreak the PS4 will lose access to online and multiplayer features.
While Sony continues to provide security updates for PS4PS4, it has discontinued PS3’s PS3 updates starting in February. At the same time, a new system update for PS5 was released.
