A new update for PS4 Fake PKG Tools, the suite of Windows tools dedicated to building fPKG packages that can be installed on

PlayStation 4 jailbroken console.

The update leads to the removal of the minimum firmware verification, making sure that the packages no longer require version 7.50 to be recognized.

Therefore, fPKG files are now compatible with 5.05 firmware, making it easy for users with consoles to lower versions.

Before proceeding, you need to make sure that the basic application or file contains a keystone in sce_sys\keystonebefore you create a basic PKG file.

Otherwise, the game may not work properly or you may experience save problems.

It is recommended to use the gengp4 tool to build the app or the basic file with a keystone and to be careful not to accidentally create patches or updates with keystone.

Instructions for building packages properly

Extracted game (for repacks, ignore these instructions if you process a dump)

• Extract all files from the base or update them using orbis-pub.chk.exe. .
• After extracting the files, rename the folder from Image0in CUSAXXXXX-appor, or, CUSAXXXXX-patch. .
• Move files from folder Sc0in CUSAXXXXX-app\sce_sysor, or, CUSAXXXXX-patch\sce_sysand delete the folder Sc0. .
• Continue the instructions as with a dump.

Dump of the base game

• Generate the gp4 project files with geng4_app.exeda da da da CUSAXXXXX-appdump and save him.
• Open up the file *.gp4previously saved in orbis-pub-gen.exeand compile the PKG file.

Dump of the game update

• Generate the gp4 project files with geng4_patch.exeda da da da CUSAXXXXX-patchdump and save him.
• Open up the file *.gp4previously saved in orbis-pub-gen.exe. .
• Make sure you have selected the base game in Command ? Project Setting ? Patch Tab ? “Application Package” field.
• Finally, click on the Burn button.

Important: Always make a copy of the file param.sfoda da da da sce_syssomewhere else before generating a gp4 file as operations could modify and corrupt the parameter if the folders were not named correctly.
