A new Test Build of PS3HEN has recently been made available, bringing with it a number of important improvements designed for PlayStation 3 consoles not compatible with Custom Firmware, particularly the Super Slim and Slim models.
This release, identified as Test Build #12 of PS3HEN v3.4.1 (Open Beta, dated April 12, 2025), further expands the system’s compatibility to include CEX firmware versions 4.80 through 4.92 and DEX firmware versions 4.82 and 4.84.
Among the most notable changes in this version is the correction of the notification values for the and functions lv1_peek, lv1_peek32improving the stability and reliability of low-level operations.
Additionally, new options have been introduced for the lv1 peek and poke functions in both 32-bit and 64-bit modes, accessible directly through the xai menu, providing more comprehensive tools for developers and advanced users.
Previously, initial support was introduced for the BadHTAB exploit , enabling the LV1 Peek(11) and Poke(9) functions within the PS3HEN payload , and adding new options to the HFW Tools (xai) menu to facilitate experimentation and testing of the LV1 exploit glitch.

NOTE: To enable downloading of DEV packages, you need to place a file called dev_build_type.on on the USB stick or use the HFW Tools option to enable developer mode. When DEV mode is enabled, the URL of the downloaded package will be the DEV version and not the RELEASE version .
