Vita Moonlight Motion is an enhanced version of Moonlight designed for the PlayStation Vita console , the remote gaming streaming client, which in this release introduces significant improvements, device management and touch interface, with advanced support for multitouch.

One of the main new features is the introduction of a tablet-style multitouch touchscreen mode, compatible with the Sunshine server, which allows you to use native gestures such as pinch-to-zoom.

The “Absolute Mouse” mode has also been improved and is now more natural: the cursor follows the main finger, the right click is activated with a double tap and two-finger scrolling is more fluid.

From the settings screen you can choose the type of touch interaction you want: gesture mouse or full multitouch. In touchscreen mode the system cursor is hidden, and the console’s physical controls remain always active, ensuring full freedom of use.

The user experience is refined even in the details: gestures, clicks and scrolling have been made more precise and consistent.

The device management system has been made more reliable with a new color-coded status indicator for host devices (green online, yellow waiting, red offline) and a background scanning engine based on mDNS.

With the button you can manually update the list of devices, while the interface always warns you when the IP address of the PC changes, asking for confirmation.

Pairing with the PC can now be completed directly from the console without manual intervention, thanks to an improved automatic function.

The virtual keyboard has been redesigned to appear in “floating” mode, without covering the game screen, and can be quickly called up with a key combination.

Finally, all core libraries have been updated for better compatibility and stability, and a new modular system for local network device discovery has been introduced.

Upcoming Features

R1/L1 <-> R2/L2 Swap : ability to invert the functions of the R1/L1 and R2/L2 buttons directly from the configuration menu, for greater convenience and flexibility.
Artemis/Apollo Compatibility : Support for Artemis/Apollo (a modified version of the Sunshine host) is planned, to allow streaming from multiple sources and custom servers.

How to open the Pause menu

To access the pause menu at any time (even in touch mode), press: START + L + R
This shortcut works regardless of the touch mode selected (Absolute Mouse or Touchscreen) and allows you to quickly access the in-game options menu.

How to open the floating keyboard

To open the virtual keyboard in elevated mode at any time, press: START + LEFT ARROW
This shortcut always opens the keyboard in elevated mode, avoiding covering the main screen. It works in all touch modes.
