NitrousTracker is an open-source homebrew application for the Nintendo DS console , designed for music creation in the style of FastTracker II , a popular music tracker from the 1990s.

This is a fork of the original NitroTracker project , created by 0xtob , and further developed by asiekierka with improvements and updates to make it more stable and compatible with the Nintendo DSi console.

This software allows users to compose music directly on the portable console, taking advantage of its hardware to create tracks in XM format, a format widely used by trackers on PC and playable on programs such as Winamp or XMMS.

How to install NitrousTracker

Installing NitrousTracker is simple, but requires a modified Nintendo DS or DSi console with a compatible flashcart:

Download NitrousTracker.
Apply the DLDI patch using a program like DLDI Patcher that is specific to your flashcart and is required to access the SD card.
Transfer the file NitrousTracker.ndsand your samples or songs (in XM format) to any folder on your SD card.
Insert the SD card into the flashcart, turn on the console and select NitrousTracker from the flashcart menu.
