A new update has been released for MasterVolume , the modified Nintendo Switch tesla overlay that allows us to control the console’s master volume.

In practice, MasterVolume allows you to adjust the overall audio level of the system, a feature not natively available through the standard Switch console interface.

To use the overlay, you need to install the Tesla-Menu framework and the nx-ovlloader component .

Installation

• Download nx-ovlloader and Tesla-Menu if they are not already present on your console.
• Download the MasterVolume overlay.
• From nx-ovlloader, copy the folder switchand file atmosphere/contents/...(if any) to the root. If the folder switchor file atmospherealready exists, allow merging, overwriting only if necessary.
• From Tesla-Menu, copy the folder switch(which should contain Tesla-Menu.ovl) to the root.

Make sure the final structure includes:

• switch/.overlays/Tesla-Menu.ovl
• Any configuration files in the atmosphere.

Add MasterVolume to Overlays :

• Create a folder called .overlaysinside the folder switchon the SD card, if it doesn’t already exist (path: switch/.overlays).
• Copy the downloaded (or compiled) file MasterVolume.ovlinto the switch/.overlays.

Verify

Check that the SD card structure is correct. An example of a valid path is:

• switch/.overlays/Tesla-Menu.ovl
• switch/.overlays/MasterVolume.ovl
• atmosphere/contents/...(for nx-ovlloader).

After a reboot, hold down  +  +  at the same time to bring up the Tesla menu at any time.
