Chinese developer xfangfang has released the first version of remotePad , a plugin for GoldHEN that allows you to control a jailbroken PlayStation 4 over network or USB.

To install it, you need to place the file remote_pad.prxin the folder /data/GoldHEN/pluginsand configure it following the instructions of the GoldHEN Plugins project .

Once installed correctly, when you start a game you will see a notification with the server address for remotePad . By connecting to this address via a browser on your smartphone or PC, you can control the console remotely.

Additionally, the plugin allows you to connect third-party controllers, which can be used to interact with the console through the web page.

The development of remotePad includes support for additional connection methods, such as direct control via USB controller or other protocols.

It is important not to plug new controllers into your PS4 while a game is running, as this may cause the game to crash. Also, since virtual controllers are a plugin designed for games, they only work within the games themselves, not in the system interface.

The plugin’s behavior can be changed via the configuration file /data/GoldHEN/remote_pad.ini. Global settings go under the section [default], while game-specific settings go under [GameID].

You can configure the name of virtual users, assign drivers to controllers, and disable some of them.

To improve compatibility with certain games, you can create a new user on the console and assign it a userIdspecific ID in the configuration file, using tools like Apollo Save Tool to retrieve the ID and convert it from hexadecimal to decimal.

For use with multiple simulated users, you must log in as a new user, launch the game with the primary account, and repeat the process on each restart.
